The return to work after arthroplasty (REWARD) cohort: a nationwide longitudinal study of sick leave and disability pension among individuals receiving hip and knee arthroplasty in Sweden

Purpose The return to work after arthroplasty (REWARD) study was established to address knowledge gaps regarding factors influencing return to work and long-term workability following hip and knee arthroplasty. The study investigates how variables such as sex, occupational workload and prior treatments affect sick leave patterns across regions and healthcare providers in Sweden. By analysing trajectories of sick leave and disability pension before and after surgery, the study aims to identify determinants for successful return to work. HYPOChLorous Acid TEsting Studies in secondary peritonitis (Hypoclates:Peritonitis): extended hypochlorous acid versus isotonic lavage for the prevention of surgical site infections in secondary peritonitis in Germany - protocol for a sequential, quasi-experimental cohort study

Introduction Surgical site infections (SSIs) impose a significant clinical and economic burden on the healthcare systems. To date, traditional preventive strategies have frequently failed to demonstrate definitive efficacy. Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) has emerged as a compelling antimicrobial alternative, characterised by potent microbicidal properties and excellent biocompatibility. Hypoclates:Peritonitis investigates the clinical impact of an HOCl-based lavage strategy in patients undergoing surgical treatment for secondary peritonitis. The trial evaluates the primary endpoint of postoperative…

Variation and knowledge translation gaps in day-of-surgery glycaemic management by anaesthesiologists: a qualitative exploration of a quality gap in Canadian hospitals

Importance Day-of-surgery hyperglycaemia is a modifiable risk factor for adverse patient outcomes including infection and 30-day mortality. Despite these risks, important quality gaps in day-of-surgery glycaemic management have been demonstrated in multiple settings. Objective To describe barriers and facilitators to high-quality glycaemic management from the perspective of anaesthesiologists. Design This qualitative study was designed using two implementation frameworks, the Theoretical Domains Framework (TDF) and the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR), to understand…

Errors in Table 1

In the Original Investigation titled “Measurement-Based Care to Enhance Antidepressant Treatment Outcomes in Major Depressive Disorder: A Randomized Clinical Trial” published on September 2, 2025, the values for annual participant and household income and time since diagnosis (median and IQR) reported in Table 1 were calculated using the SPSS “HAVERAGE” (weighted average/interpolated) method, but should have been calculated using simple non-interpolated methods. The values have been recalculated accordingly and the article has been corrected.
